Nintendo Switch Online Expands Virtual Boy Library
With its latest update, Nintendo has significantly expanded the Virtual Boy game library available on its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Today, five new titles have been added, including V-Tetris, Jack Bros., Space Invaders Virtual Collection, Virtual Bowling, and Vertical Force. This brings the total number of Virtual Boy games available in the West to 12, with a total of 16 planned for release.
The Virtual Boy, which originally launched in the 1990s, had a limited library of only 22 games. With the recent additions, players are now just a few titles away from experiencing the majority of this unique gaming era. However, some games may never make it to the service due to licensing issues, leaving fans wondering which classics might remain inaccessible. As Nintendo continues to revive its retro titles, it raises the question: what other forgotten gems could we see make a comeback in the future?
